Practicing Body Care Is the Essence of Caring for Yourself
Caring for yourself physically manifests as caring for your body. Body care
is the last but not least part of self-love. Being able to physically do things that are love and care for your body translates as self-love even if you might not feel love for yourself, yet.
Body care is self-care. It is rather hard to convince another that you care for yourself if it seems like you do not care for your body, if there aren’t any signs of caring for the body. So, it would be distorted to actually care for yourself psychologically (mentally and emotionally) and not physically care for yourself as well.
Body care practice may seem vain and superficial, but how you feel and treat yourself inside will correlate with how you treat yourself on the outside.
Society may glorify good self-care practices, making them turn to vain practices instead of what they should actually stand for. Making the meaning of things be lost completely. It is essential to not lose sight of where the value lies with regard to standard of living.
The standard of living is not the most expensive brand, but rather the reason behind every moisturizing moment, or every drink of water and bite of a fruit. For indeed body care is not just caring for your biggest organ the skin but caring for the rest of your organs that dwell within.
There is a difference in health between these two states of living: wanting the most expensive brands simply because they are the most expensive, and wanting the most expensive brands because they are the best quality with the cleanest ingredients. However, ironically, the most natural ingredients are fruits and organic ingredients like cacao, instead of toxins-filled expensive “luxury” brands.
How to Practice Body Care
In caring for your body and self, it is best to not condemn the self with regards to whatever you may eat that isn’t considered healthy, but rather realize that you can practice self-compassion by ensuring you eat the best (healthy) foods as an intentional body care practice later. Thus, being patient with yourself with your less healthy practices by not condemning yourself because you practice self-love in that you are aware that making yourself feel bad about the unhealthy food won’t change eating the food, so then choosing to rather have a plan in place. Shame never reaps goodness. Body care includes drinking enough water, upping your hydration with fruits and vegetables, cleansing with water outwardly, rehydrating with moisturizer, and eating live foods. Being aware of the food you eat and thus making consciously healthier decisions is the epitome of the body care practice. Like frying with olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Knowing to practice such knowledge requires intentional research which further reflects how body care is self-care. Practice body care at whatever pace allows you to explore the body care practice. Body care means lip care, oral care, hair care, and nail care. Ensuring as you cleanse and nourish the rest of the body, you do the same for your oral, lip, nail, and hair care by cleansing, nourishing, and moisturizing. Body care is also about your emotional relationship with your body. Emotional trauma should undergo healing for wholesome body care. Your emotional self is truly the core of how you love and care for yourself. With this in mind, body care means the exercise of that love and care from the internal Source which brings forth the healed emotional self. Exercising of any kind is scientifically good for the mind, body, and the emotional entity. This is knowledge to practice. Yet, it is important to understand to set your own standards for sustainability. Decide what kind of exercise will be good for you, and how much of it you can do in your present tense. It is also wise to hope for natural and vegan products applied to your body or ingested in it. Body care should start from within. It is pure when it is inspired from within not from without. Body care may also mean a more spiritual life. All that means is that you are living life being aware that you are a spirit first and foremost and manifesting that by being in touch with your inner self. Body care is inevitably taking care of the whole self, for the whole self is in the body.–
